1. Save all your current work, close all open applications, then shut down your machine(s)

2. Turn your Router off (pull the power connection from the back of the Router) and wait a full three minutes (YES, 3 minutes!)

3. Turn off your modem (pull the power connection from the back) and wait a full three minutes (YES, 3 minutes!)
   3b: For digital voice customers - locate the tiny “RESET” hole and use a small pointy object to hold that in for about 15 seconds while the power cord is removed then wait a full three minutes. (this bypasses the battery in the Digital voice modem and allows for a true power cycle)

4.  Switch on your machine(s) and let them boot up

5.  Plug the modem first back in FIRST and wait for all the lights to come on

6.  Plug the router back in
